Affordable Bridal Photography Options

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Your special day can be the realisation of a long-held dream; you want everything to be just perfect - and why not - from your flowers to you dress and everything else in between. But, for most people, even though is is a very special day you will still have a budget to work to. But when it comes to top-end professional business services like as wedding photography, staying focused on the money can be hard to do. However, with a little bit of research, forward thinking and planning, and a vibrant dose of flexibility, you will be able to keep within budget for sure to ensure you have an affordable wedding while creating the memories you deserve.

With a vibrant dose of creativity you can find wedding photography services within your budget quite easily. So read on.

Start off with word of mouth and you will be on the right track. People always talk about good service. Talk to friends or associates that have held wedding days similar in size and outline to what you are planning to check what professional photographers worked successfully within their given price target.

Check with your wedding reception venue. They will know many great professional. Within five minutes you could walk away with a list of twenty great companies to call.

Think about using a wedding planner. It could be the best budget choice you make for your wedding day. They are professionals and know the best people to work with and how to keep on budget.

But when it comes to affordable bridal photography, sometimes fixing the range and type services you want rather than choosing a low-priced photographer will help you stay within your budget limit - more is not always better and at the end of the day having high quality is better than high quantity. If you have your heart jet-set on a unique wedding photographer that works in a way you love, then compromise to get to the price that you need; perhaps have the photographer only take your ceremony and formal shots and then ask your guests to help take snaps throughout your reception to be assembled into an album at a later date.

One really great idea that is also fun too is to provide your guests with expendable cameras. This gives your guests more of a feeling of involvement and you will also receive a wide range of photos that would not be taken by a professional.

Another great and creative tip is to invite your guests to do part of the wedding preparations for you such as the flower display. Not only is this a great way to involve your friends you can ask them to not give wedding gifts but to do something else instead. And seeing many wedding gifts end up not being used then this can be a great idea. Instead your friends will likely be excited and delighted to be asked. This will heighten your marriage experience for everyone and save you money.

Ultimately, affordable wedding photography is about creative thinking and flexibility, time and energy. Being willing to work out of the box and think of small and often creative ways to save money, eventually all those small steps will add up to big savings.

Some Top Tips For Your Wedding Day Photography

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Wedding photography includes pictures of the couple before the wedding, as well as coverage of the actual wedding event and reception. The two approaches in bridal photography are traditional and photojournalistic. Traditional wedding photography consists of classically posed images. In this approach, there is much interaction with the photographer on the day of the wedding. In the photojournalistic approach, the images recorded are much more subtle with less photographer interaction. These two approaches are the two extremes of photographic styles. Today most photographers will side with one of the two styles.

There are certain things to keep in mind while hiring a photographer to cover your wedding. Every photographer possesses an individual style. There is some research you should do before you decide who you want photographing your wedding. It is recommended to start looking for the right photographer well ahead of time. Look into your photographers creative side more then the business side when hiring a wedding photographer. One shouldn’t be concerned about comparing various package details or the number of prints he is going to get. Once you have chosen a photographer for the job, take care of all minute details then and there so that the photographer you hired is not preoccupied about with thoughts of collecting his payment, on the wedding day.

Don’t boss your photographer around all the time. Nobody wants to be pushed around, not even your photographer so ask your guests to be polite as well. No photographer likes to be directed as to what to shoot and how to do it. The photographer will become less creative if there is lots of third party interaction. Sometimes the relatives and friends are so preoccupied in instructing the photographer that they almost miss the entire wedding.

As always, trust is a major factor that affects your relationship with the photographer. Not everything can be controlled on your wedding day, so you will need to come to terms with that. That’s another reason why you hired a professional to capture all the beautiful moments of the wedding day.

Don’t forget to feed your photographer. On a interesting point - always make sure your photographer is fed! This should be the last person you want to starve at your wedding. Do not give your photographer long lists of things to do. This would distract him from what you actually hired him to do.

5 Beautiful Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Wedding centerpieces are one of many things the happy couple need to think about and plan for during the wedding preparations.

You don’t have to spend too much money on wedding centerpieces - in fact far from it. I always think that simple, imaginative centerpieces work better than anything extravagant and expensive.

Wedding centerpieces can personal or quite traditional. They can also be lighthearted or humorous.

Here are 5 wedding centerpiece ideas worth considering:

1. Flowers and plants

Flowers can be relied upon to provide color and attractiveness at a reasonable cost.

For a more traditional wedding try using Orchids or Carnations. If you want something a bit more original try Alium or Larkspur.

Alternatively, go for the wow factor with Caribea or maybe Parakeet Heliconia.

Pot plants are also an option which can add interest and which can be given as gifts after the wedding is over.

2. Something to eat.

Wedding centerpieces you can eat are an idea worth considering that can add interest and originality.

Some popular combinations are strawberries and chocolate or lemons with white chocolate, which support a particular color scheme very effectively. The display could include a few pieces of fruit or a whole tower.

Pumpkins and squashes also create an impact and can add to the harvest or Halloween atmosphere of a Fall wedding.

3. Candles and glassware.

Static or floating candles are another wedding centerpiece idea worth considering.

It is easy to add interest before the fading light allows the candles to come into their own, by adding ornate candlearbras, possibly dripping with jewels to reflect light.

Water and glassware gives the centerpiece another dimension and can lead to all manner of shapes and colors.

Pebbles, shells and colored sand are other ideas worth considering to fill the glassware, in place of candles or water.

4. Be practical.

It’s easy to get carried away with creativity but don’t forget the practicalities when considering your wedding centerpiece ideas.

Centerpieces that are too large, for example, might overpower the table and possibly get in the way of guests being able to talk to each other easily.

Over-powering smells could also be off putting when guests are eating.

It’s possible to stay as simple and safe as you like, or even to go to town and create a really individual statement, as long as the rest of the wedding is in keeping with this.

5. Fancy something a bit different?

If you’re looking for something a bit different, here are some of the themes you might consider:

- Retro

- Oriental and themes of the Far East

- Beach/seaside (shells, sand and pebbles)

- Country - wild flowers and grasses.

The options available are endless. I hope my wedding centerpiece ideas and tips have fired your imagination!

Have a fantastic day!

The Reason For Your Marriage

Monday, July 6th, 2009
by Dr. David Trumble

Have you really examined your goal for having a big wedding ceremony?

Do you really want a fancy wedding ceremony with all the trimmings?

I dont mean to preach, but did you know the book of Genesis reveals a really great view of the first wedding ceremony and marriage.

In the book of Genesis, it says that God made everything, but did you know he made you and me, men and women, just like him. Yep, that is what it says. He made us to be creative, to make our own choices, and to share intimate relationships ” just like God.

Loneliness is a blight on our existence. It causes us to be unproductive. It leaves us with an emptiness inside. When we are gone, it leaves nothing behind. The fact is we need relationship. A man and a woman united in love are great treasures to each other.

Woman is never given as a slave or door mat or conscience. Woman is given to help Man by sharing his dominion over the world and responsibility for Gods creation. When Man gazes upon Woman, he is stricken with a throbbing passion, a deep awe, and wonder. Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh

God places within Man a powerful desire for Woman. When Gods design is followed, this connection becomes like a little taste of heaven.

The final verses of Genesis 2 state that this new couple should leave father and mother and hold on to each other. Gods design is to prevent intrusion by outsiders (friends, neighbors, relatives). God gives responsibilities for family. Couples must take full opportunity to meet those responsibilities without interference. Couples need quality sharing time to build quality relationships. God gives more clues to this design in Ephesians chapter 5. As dearly loved children of God we are called to imitate God. We need to think like God, love like God, give like God, serve like God, care like God, and live like God.

Gods design for marriage is summarized in Ephesians 5:21; Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. The key word is translated submit, but the true sense of the word is more accurately defined as give. Marriage partners give to one another out of respect for God in Christ. This captures the secret of marriage. Marriage is a giving relationship.

Most of the problems in marriage come from our expectations. There can be no disappointment without frustrated expectations. If we eliminate our unreasonable and improper expectations, we also get rid of our disappointments.

Marriage is not about rights. Love is not accepting someone else as good enough to meet my needs. Marriage is all about the privilege of giving love and the responsibility of meeting your partners needs and desires. The emphasis in Gods design is giving to ones partner according to the partners needs ” loving ones partner in a way that ones partner understands love.

What is the proper role of a wife? Love, honor, and respect your husband. It is your job to meet your husbands needs and help him feel you respect him.

What is the proper role of a husband? Love, honor, provide for, protect, and comfort you wife. This is a tall order, but it is exactly what your wife needs to know she is loved.

Why do you want to be a wife or husband? Is it so somebody will listen to your whining and complaining? Is it so you can have control over someone? Or is it because you want to give yourself in admiration, respect, and love to your partner?

What is the purpose of your wedding ceremony? It is to launch a marriage. In your marriage anything demanded and received is no longer a true gift. Marriage cannot afford selfishness of either the husband or wife.
