Affordable Bridal Photography Options

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Your special day can be the realisation of a long-held dream; you want everything to be just perfect - and why not - from your flowers to you dress and everything else in between. But, for most people, even though is is a very special day you will still have a budget to work to. But when it comes to top-end professional business services like as wedding photography, staying focused on the money can be hard to do. However, with a little bit of research, forward thinking and planning, and a vibrant dose of flexibility, you will be able to keep within budget for sure to ensure you have an affordable wedding while creating the memories you deserve.

With a vibrant dose of creativity you can find wedding photography services within your budget quite easily. So read on.

Start off with word of mouth and you will be on the right track. People always talk about good service. Talk to friends or associates that have held wedding days similar in size and outline to what you are planning to check what professional photographers worked successfully within their given price target.

Check with your wedding reception venue. They will know many great professional. Within five minutes you could walk away with a list of twenty great companies to call.

Think about using a wedding planner. It could be the best budget choice you make for your wedding day. They are professionals and know the best people to work with and how to keep on budget.

But when it comes to affordable bridal photography, sometimes fixing the range and type services you want rather than choosing a low-priced photographer will help you stay within your budget limit - more is not always better and at the end of the day having high quality is better than high quantity. If you have your heart jet-set on a unique wedding photographer that works in a way you love, then compromise to get to the price that you need; perhaps have the photographer only take your ceremony and formal shots and then ask your guests to help take snaps throughout your reception to be assembled into an album at a later date.

One really great idea that is also fun too is to provide your guests with expendable cameras. This gives your guests more of a feeling of involvement and you will also receive a wide range of photos that would not be taken by a professional.

Another great and creative tip is to invite your guests to do part of the wedding preparations for you such as the flower display. Not only is this a great way to involve your friends you can ask them to not give wedding gifts but to do something else instead. And seeing many wedding gifts end up not being used then this can be a great idea. Instead your friends will likely be excited and delighted to be asked. This will heighten your marriage experience for everyone and save you money.

Ultimately, affordable wedding photography is about creative thinking and flexibility, time and energy. Being willing to work out of the box and think of small and often creative ways to save money, eventually all those small steps will add up to big savings.

Some Top Tips For Your Wedding Day Photography

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Wedding photography includes pictures of the couple before the wedding, as well as coverage of the actual wedding event and reception. The two approaches in bridal photography are traditional and photojournalistic. Traditional wedding photography consists of classically posed images. In this approach, there is much interaction with the photographer on the day of the wedding. In the photojournalistic approach, the images recorded are much more subtle with less photographer interaction. These two approaches are the two extremes of photographic styles. Today most photographers will side with one of the two styles.

There are certain things to keep in mind while hiring a photographer to cover your wedding. Every photographer possesses an individual style. There is some research you should do before you decide who you want photographing your wedding. It is recommended to start looking for the right photographer well ahead of time. Look into your photographers creative side more then the business side when hiring a wedding photographer. One shouldn’t be concerned about comparing various package details or the number of prints he is going to get. Once you have chosen a photographer for the job, take care of all minute details then and there so that the photographer you hired is not preoccupied about with thoughts of collecting his payment, on the wedding day.

Don’t boss your photographer around all the time. Nobody wants to be pushed around, not even your photographer so ask your guests to be polite as well. No photographer likes to be directed as to what to shoot and how to do it. The photographer will become less creative if there is lots of third party interaction. Sometimes the relatives and friends are so preoccupied in instructing the photographer that they almost miss the entire wedding.

As always, trust is a major factor that affects your relationship with the photographer. Not everything can be controlled on your wedding day, so you will need to come to terms with that. That’s another reason why you hired a professional to capture all the beautiful moments of the wedding day.

Don’t forget to feed your photographer. On a interesting point - always make sure your photographer is fed! This should be the last person you want to starve at your wedding. Do not give your photographer long lists of things to do. This would distract him from what you actually hired him to do.

Satin Bridesmaid Dresses for the Full Figured

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

If you are searching for vintage bridesmaid dresses, there are important things that you need to know. Specialty wedding shops are popular for wedding and bridesmaid dresses, because there are important details, which may be overlooked by department stores or regular clothing shops. One of the trendiest and a flawless fabric famous for formal wedding bridesmaid dresses is satin. This fabric stretches well and blends beautifully with other fabrics. This fabric gives a good A-line fitting and outfits those need to hide few bulky body parts. Thus your bridesmaid has plenty of options to be glamorous and classy. Some styles which you can choose for your bridesmaid are as below:

Full Bust

For ladies who have an in proportionate body on the top must preferable opt for thick straps satin gowns. This will give a proper shape to the body keeping all body parts in proper place. With thick straps and a high waste line the gown will flow easily and will hide all the tacky parts of the body. The ladies will be comfortable in wearing the bra of their choice and will have no tensions of hiding the bra straps from the back. To offset the bosom you can choose short sleeves to your outfit with uneven neckline.

Full Hips

A line styled dresses give a good shape to the body without showing off the skin. These styles have a fitted waist and then a flair hiding big buts of women facing this kind of a problem. Choosing this kind of an option gives a bridesmaid a stunning and a decent look. Emphasizing on tight bottoms and showing off the hips can also be of a good choice and are well suited for girls with definite buts. Stars like Jennifer Lopez and Beoncey usually pick up outfits of these kinds where they can show off their good figure.

Small Bust

Usually women with small bust can wear any kind of dresses, since everything suits them without any problem. Because they have nothing to fall out in front or nothing to be supported, they can easily move around without even Bra also. Women with small bust usually prefer to wear a long deep V-shaped front because of the reason that they can simply pull it off.

Small hips

Girls having small hips would love to wear a flowing and a stretchy outfit as they want a definite shape for their entire body. Try out dresses with more of flairs to give them a fluffy look and avoid a line style as it will not give a feminine look to the body.

Help Me Save My Marriage From Failing

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

When you are fighting so much that you do not know what you are even fighting about sometimes then you may want to figure out some way that you can get along so you can say that you can save my marriage. Whether you are just starting out as newlyweds or you have been married for a long time you will experience moments in your marriage that will seem like an eternity of fighting.

If you are not getting along at all and are considering a divorce you may want to try and work on a few things before you call it quits. When you are first married it’s not easy to get along and you may find that it is easier to fight instead of working it out but a marriage is something that you need to work on all the time.

The first place that you want to start is by getting counseling. It’s important that you try to solve a problem before you end your marriage. You owe it to yourself and everyone involved. You will never be happy until you know that you have tried everything. Counseling is a fantastic place to talk about what is bothering you. You may need to sit down and explain what is causing your argument with some one who is neutral.

A weekend Getaway can also be a way you can get someone to help save my marriage. Fighting takes a lot of energy and may leave you feeling tired and weak. You need a chance to regroup but do it together and not separate. You need to plan a weekend getaway and take off. Don’t take anyone else with you. Make your getaway a romantic getaway and pack light. Make sure that you plan this weekend carefully because you don’t want any stress.

Learn to take control of the fights. Sometimes things get worse when you yell and he yells and you yell back and so on. It is continual unless you stop it. There are other ways that you can say what you want to say without fighting. Try controlling your yelling and he will soon follow. Yelling continues because the couple feels like it is the only way to communicate with each other. If you have to, walk away for a little while in order to calm everything down.

talk about what is causing all the fighting. Once you eliminate or gain control on what started your fighting to begin with you will be able to work together to control it. No matter what it is you need to control it and not let it control you.

It’s not always easy to eliminate what is causing your arguments but you can decrease or alternate something to help.

Remember that a marriage is worth saving so don’t wait any more. Get together and find out what is causing all the problems. Your marriage will last a very long time if you work hard at saving it.

5 Beautiful Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Wedding centerpieces are one of many things the happy couple need to think about and plan for during the wedding preparations.

You don’t have to spend too much money on wedding centerpieces - in fact far from it. I always think that simple, imaginative centerpieces work better than anything extravagant and expensive.

Wedding centerpieces can personal or quite traditional. They can also be lighthearted or humorous.

Here are 5 wedding centerpiece ideas worth considering:

1. Flowers and plants

Flowers can be relied upon to provide color and attractiveness at a reasonable cost.

For a more traditional wedding try using Orchids or Carnations. If you want something a bit more original try Alium or Larkspur.

Alternatively, go for the wow factor with Caribea or maybe Parakeet Heliconia.

Pot plants are also an option which can add interest and which can be given as gifts after the wedding is over.

2. Something to eat.

Wedding centerpieces you can eat are an idea worth considering that can add interest and originality.

Some popular combinations are strawberries and chocolate or lemons with white chocolate, which support a particular color scheme very effectively. The display could include a few pieces of fruit or a whole tower.

Pumpkins and squashes also create an impact and can add to the harvest or Halloween atmosphere of a Fall wedding.

3. Candles and glassware.

Static or floating candles are another wedding centerpiece idea worth considering.

It is easy to add interest before the fading light allows the candles to come into their own, by adding ornate candlearbras, possibly dripping with jewels to reflect light.

Water and glassware gives the centerpiece another dimension and can lead to all manner of shapes and colors.

Pebbles, shells and colored sand are other ideas worth considering to fill the glassware, in place of candles or water.

4. Be practical.

It’s easy to get carried away with creativity but don’t forget the practicalities when considering your wedding centerpiece ideas.

Centerpieces that are too large, for example, might overpower the table and possibly get in the way of guests being able to talk to each other easily.

Over-powering smells could also be off putting when guests are eating.

It’s possible to stay as simple and safe as you like, or even to go to town and create a really individual statement, as long as the rest of the wedding is in keeping with this.

5. Fancy something a bit different?

If you’re looking for something a bit different, here are some of the themes you might consider:

- Retro

- Oriental and themes of the Far East

- Beach/seaside (shells, sand and pebbles)

- Country - wild flowers and grasses.

The options available are endless. I hope my wedding centerpiece ideas and tips have fired your imagination!

Have a fantastic day!

How To Get The Diamond Weight Of Your Pendants

Monday, August 24th, 2009
by Karen Fernando

There are not many things as frightening as buying expensive diamond jewelry pendants when you don’t fully know what it’s all about.

You measure diamonds in Carat Weight. In short, one carat weighs 200 milligrams.

If someone says that a diamond is four grains, they are saying that their diamond is a one carat diamond.

The word “Carat” is derived from the word “carob”. Yes, you guessed it - it is named after a bean that grows on trees in the Mediterranean area of Europe. A long time ago, if a diamond weighed the same as a carob bean, it would be called a one carob diamond, or a one carat diamond. Take atrip over to the Far East now and you will find no Carob trees growing. As a result, the locals will use rice to measure their diamonds’ weight.

So a one carat diamond is the equivalent of a diamond that weighs four grains of rice.

The majority of diamond purchases are for diamonds that are 1/3 of a carat.

If you are buying jewelry pendants with set or mounted diamonds, don’t forget that if you have more than one diamond set into the pendant, the jewelry tag will probably give the CTW or Carat Total Weight.

That means that it does not tell you the carat weight of each stone in each of your jewelry pendants.

You should ask your jeweler for the exact total carat weight of the largest diamond in your jewelry pendant if you want to know exactly what it is that you are buying (recommended).

If you own a diamond, and you have no idea how much it is worth, you can have it appraised. However, you should know that the appraisal may not be accurate.

Before arriving at the retailer, all diamonds will journey from the mine to the cutter and then the polisher. From there it goes on to an independent grading company. It then reaches the primary market. During that journey, passing through all those hands, things may have gotten a bit blurry.

It is probably best to obtain a certificate through GIA (the Gemological Institute of America). Pass the GIA certificate on to your diamond experts and ask them to use their cutters guide to accurately determine your diamond true value.

I trust that this makes a few things a little clearer for you. Hopefully, now you can feel a great deal more confident when out shopping for those beautiful diamond jewelry pendants!

Flowers in all forms and colors add unique texture as well as a touch of brightness and sophistication to the wedding and they also enhance the mood of weddings. Flowers at a wedding also denote celebration, happiness, fertility, prosperity, contribute to the atmosphere of love and embody the beauty and promise of joining two lives together.

Wedding flowers are generally used in the bride’s wedding flower bouquet and floral bouquet for her bridesmaids, pomanders, corsages, headdresses, thank you bouquets and cake decorations. They are also an indispensable part of decor in church and venue displays, pew ends, tabletops, and long and low displays.

It can be really overwhelming when you first start thinking about flowers for your wedding. They may consume a lot of the plan and decide on which flowers to choose since the selection of wedding flowers is certainly vast. So, it is important to know what flowers are appropriate and what they represent in order to make the right choice. Next to the reception, flowers are the most expensed category in a bridal couple’s budget. Hence, it is useful to set a reasonable budget for wedding flowers as they will brighten up and enhance any wedding. Wedding flowers can cost several hundred dollars up to several thousand dollars.

The best way to reduce the cost of flowers for your wedding is to opt for in season flowers. The flowers out of season will be costly but seasonal flowers are cheaper and easier to find.
